Nothing rings in the holidays like the Budweiser Clydesdales. And lucky for you, there are two chances to see them this weekend. First in Ambler, 2pm on Saturday Dec 12, and then the next day in Media, also at 2pm.

First bred in Scotland, clydesdales are much bigger now than they were in the 19th century. These regal horses are the best of the best, measuring 18 hands, weighing around a ton, bay in color with white on each leg, a white blaze on their face and black mane and tail. What better way to get in the festive spirit than to see these magnificent animals pull the signature Budweiser wagon?

Spencer Trappist Ale – A First for the U.S.

Wednesday, December 31, 2014 | Events, Spencer Trappist Brewery

spendertrappistbanner

Trappist monks have a long tradition in the art of brewery, particularly in Belgium and the Netherlands. Now, Spencer, Massachusetts boasts their own Trappist brewery, the first in the U.S., and one of only ten in the world. Their ale is what these men drink at dinner every evening, brewed by their own hands to support themselves, as their strict Benedictine code calls for.

Inspired by traditional patersbier, the ale is a full-bodied golden ale with fruity accents, light hoppiness and a dry finish. It is unfiltered and unpasteurized, containing live yeast which condition the brew in the bottle. 6.5% ABV

January 8th, there will be a release party at Ganly’s Irish Pub in Sinking Spring, starting at 5pm. This is your chance to try this one-of-a-kind ale, and take a moment to think about the men who made it.
