By aging their popular Baltic Thunder in once-used red wine barrels from Wente Vineyards, Victory Brewing Company created Red Thunder. Drink Beer and Raise Money for Cystic Fibrosis

Philadelphians don’t need too much encouragement to drink beer, but on September 8, you’ll be doing so to help people out. The braintrust at Drink Philly is partnering up with the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in throwing Phestiv-Ale, a fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at the Penn’s Landing Caterers, located at Washington Avenue and Columbus Boulevard in the Sheet Metal Worker’s Hall.

Victory Brewery Expansion Update

Five months ago, we announced our plans to expand Victory Brewing Company in order to quench your thirst for more Victory. Since then, our staff (along with an all-Chester County expansion team that includes Constructure Management, Knauer Construction, Bernardon Haber Holloway Architects, Chester Valley Engineers, MacIntosh Engineering and Pinnacle Engineering) has been tirelessly working to build our second home. If all goes according to plan (as it should with such an official-sounding team as we just listed in the above parenthetical), we expect to brew our first batch of beer in the new brewery in June of 2013. In the meantime, we’ve got a lot of work to do!

Hoppiness is happiness. If you’ve tried any of our Ranch Double IPA brews, we think you’ll agree.

We’ve got a number of hop-tastic beers in our portfolio, and now we’re playing around with another hop-heavy recipe. With Ranch Double IPA, we’re differentiating from other hoppy beers we make (and the standard double IPAs other breweries make) by focusing on hop aroma over hop bitterness and by changing up the hop varieties being used.
