We’ve been seeing temperatures approaching the triple digits, and it doesn’t seem like it’s going to let up any soon. So it’s time to start thinking about the best ways to keep cool and refreshed this summer… and what better ways are there than ice cold beverages and ice cream?

July is National Ice Cream Month, and Victory has released an ice cream line with three flavors just in time. Each flavor is made with the wort of one of the Downingtown Brewery’s beer. Hopped up Devil is made with HopDevil wort, and has cinnamon, cayenne, coffee and chocolate flakes. Storm Drop is made from Storm King Imperial Stout and chocolate drops. And Triple Monkey is made from the wort of the ever-popular Golden Monkey, as well as banana and pecan swirl.

The brewery has been making ice cream from its wort for years, but recently decided to share the flavors with a wider fan base; all three flavors will be available in the greater Philadelphia area at a variety of locations.

And as far as beers go, there’s no shortage of refreshing brews that go with summer as much as swimming pools, barbecues or even ice cream.

Shock Top Lemon Shandy – No summer drink list would be complete without at least one lemon shandy, and Shock Top delivers with a lightly spiced beverage that packs a punch of invigorating lemonade flavor. 4.2% ABV
